If you or someone you know in the Portsmouth and Havant areas has experienced sexual, emotional, or relationship abuse, it's important to know that support is available.

 

Here's a guide to the services you can access:

Immediate Assistance

  • Emergency Situations: If you're in immediate danger or require urgent assistance, please call 999 to contact the police.

  • Non-Emergency Situations: For non-urgent matters, you can reach the police by dialing 101.

Support Services

  • Portsmouth Abuse and Rape Counselling Service (PARCS): PARCS offers free specialist counselling to individuals aged 5 and above who have experienced sexual and/or domestic abuse. They also provide a confidential helpline for immediate support.

  • Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC): Treetops provides comprehensive support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault, including medical examinations, emergency contraception, and access to counselling. Services are available regardless of whether you choose to involve the police.
