Our eConsult Service Is Expanding – Starting December 9th
Following positive feedback from patients, we’re excited to be extending our eConsult service to improve the way we manage your healthcare needs. Starting December 9th, we will ask all patients to contact us through eConsult for non-urgent matters. This system helps us triage cases efficiently, ensuring that you get the most appropriate care in a safe and timely manner.
How It Works
eConsult is Quick and Easy:
- Our trained reception team will encourage you to complete a simple online form. This is the quickest way to get in touch with us and helps us understand your symptoms or concerns.
- If you’re unable to complete the form online, don’t worry! You can still call, and one of our reception team members will take your details and complete the form for you.
What Happens Next?
- Once your eConsult submission is received, it will be reviewed by a GP. If your case requires further clinical review, we will either provide advice to help you manage your condition or arrange an appointment if needed.
- Please note that we do not have unlimited appointments, so we must prioritise those who need them most clinically.
Availability and Access
When Can You Use eConsult?
- The eConsult service will be open from 7:00 AM every day, and we aim to keep it open until 2:00 PM.
- If the system becomes too busy or it’s not safe to continue, we may send you a message with details about where to find support elsewhere. We recommend submitting your request early in the day to get the best chance of receiving timely help.
What Can You Expect from eConsult?
- The service includes self-help guides, symptom checkers, and signposting to other services, as well as the ability to submit a condition-based questionnaire to your GP.
- eConsult is not for urgent problems. If your issue is urgent, please contact the practice directly or visit an urgent care service.
